Who we are

HistaMate provides an educational ingredient reference app. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@histamate.org.

Information we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, we store the email address and authentication details needed to sign you in.
• Recipe content. Recipes and ingredients you analyse and any items you choose to save.
• Recipe images. Photos submitted for analysis are processed to extract recipe information and are not retained as part of your saved recipe history unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• Technical information. Basic device and usage data used to keep the service reliable and diagnose faults.
• Cookies and similar technologies. The marketing website may use a small number of cookies or similar technologies to measure how the site is used or remember preferences. See our Cookie Policy for details.

This website itself is a static marketing site and does not require an account.

How we use information

We use the information above to provide recipe analysis, keep your saved recipes available across devices, maintain security and improve the accuracy of our ingredient database. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers

We work with trusted third parties to run the service. Authentication and database services are provided by Supabase. Email communications and authentication emails are sent using Resend.

Payments and subscriptions

Subscription payments are processed through the relevant platform provider. On iOS this is Apple, on Android this is Google, and on other channels this is Stripe. Payment information such as card details is handled directly by the chosen payment provider and is not stored by HistaMate.

Retention and deletion

Account and saved recipe data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account and its associated data yourself at any time from within the app. If you would prefer, you can also email us to request deletion and we will action the request within a reasonable period.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal information we hold about you and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us with "Privacy" in the subject line.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product develops. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
